Ingredients:
- Fish – 2 PCs.
- Green bell pepper – 1/2 PC.
- Ginger (diced) – 50 g (1.76 oz.)
- Onion (diced) – 1 PC.
- Tausi or Chinese salted black beans – 3 tbsp.
- Oyster sauce – 2 tbsp.
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp.
- Water – 200 ml (6.76 fl.oz.)
- Red chili paste (or sliced green chili) – 1 tsp.
- Cornstarch – 1 tsp.
- Cooking oil
Directions:
- Clean the fish and remove scales.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pan until very hot.
- Fry the fish both sides until golden brown and set aside on kitchen paper to drain the excess of oil.
- Dispose the cooking oil, add the olive oil and sauté the onion, bell pepper, ginger and Chinese salted black beans for 1 minute.
- Add 3/4 of water, oyster sauce and red chili paste, bring to a boil for 1 minute.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining water and add to the sauce to thicken.
- Return the fish to the pan and cook each side for 1 minute then place the fish on a serving dish and top with the sauce.
