I am Anna, now living with my hubby (half-Italian half-American) here in California, USA. We just got married in Hawaii last Dec. 2008. As a wife, I know— one of the roles is to cook good food for your love but that is the difficult role I have. I don’t know how to cook. That is my biggest problem, I may sound so silly but that’s how I feel because I really wanted to prepare tasty and delicious food for my hubby.
I am the eldest of my siblings, growing up in Cebu. I was the bread-winner of my family and I never had a chance to learn how to cook because of so much work. My brother is the one who cook all our meals. And now, that I’m married I never know any single recipe (poor girl!). I wanted to learn some simple cooking recipe, especially Filipino dish. We bought Filipino cook book but it didn’t turn out good. Maybe, I am never good at following the instructions on cook book . So, I downloaded iFood and allrecipe’s in my iPhone and all are foreign food and I’m not into it, although I cook some of the recipe. I was looking for an Asian and Filipino taste dish. And I just found out your website unexpectedly. I was so excited that I jump up from my seat and started preparing the recipe. I love chicken adobo so that is the one I made through your big help. Lipay jud kaayo ko kay finally nakatilaw na pud ko ug balik sa adobo (bisaya style). This is my first time cooking a Filipino food here in US. I am so grateful and thankful to both of you. From now on, mag-atang jud ko permi sa imong mga recipe and upcoming recipe too. God bless.
I took a picture that I cooked (chicken adobo). Left over nalang na heheehhee….
