Ingredients:

  • Beef (cubed) – 1 kg (2.20 lb.)
  • Tomato sauce – 700 ml (3 cups)
  • Potatoes (cubed) – 400 g (14.11 oz.)
  • Carrots (cubed) – 300 g (10.58 oz.)
  • Bouillon cube 2 PCs.
  • Garlic (minced) – 1 tbsp.
  • Onion (cubed) – 1/2 PC.
  • Green bell pepper (cubed) – 1 PC.
  • Oyster sauce – 4 tbsp.
  • Basil – 1 tsp.
  • Butter – 2 tbsp.
  • Ginger powder – 2 tsp.
  • Black pepper powder – 1/8 tsp.
  • Chili paste – 1 tsp.

Directions:

  1. In a deep pot, bring to a boil a large measure of water with one bouillon cube.
  2. Add the meat, ginger powder and allow simmer for one hour and a half.
  3. Skim off the foam with a skimmer to keep the broth clear.
  4. Once the meat is tender, drain from the broth and set aside.
  5. Melt the butter in a big pot or a wok and sauté the onion for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the garlic and stir until fragrant.
  7. Add the carrots, potatoes, one bouillon cube, basil, green peas, black pepper powder, chili paste, tomato sauce, oyster sauce and the meat.
  8. Mix thoroughly and allow simmer for 15 minutes.
  9. Add the green bell pepper and cook for other 2 minutes.
